A ready made picture frame can be a good alternative for those who have picture framing projects but lack the funds to have one custom made or do not have the skills to create one. Ready made frames vary tremendously in terms of quality however, as well as price. The trick to finding the right ready made picture frame for your project is find the best quality at the lowest price.

What’s Wrong With a ready made picture frame From the Local Mega-Mart? Without going into the subject of questionable quality of products made in China (which Texas pundit Jim Hightower says should be a warning label), the fact is that your choices of ready made frames are likely to be quite limited at the local “big-box supercenter.” The problem is that your finished product is going to look like everyone else’s. You are better off shopping for a ready made picture frame online or at your local art specialty store, though the latter option will most likely cost you more. There is another alternative, which is to purchase ready made frames at MegaLo Mart then paint, color or decorate it in some way.

If you are skilled and artistically inclined, this may be a good option for you – otherwise, be prepared to do some shopping. The bottom line is that of all the Picture Framing Supplies you will be using, the choice of frame is the most important one. Make it a good one. Wood Or Metal? As you know, most ready made frames are available in wood or metal finishes in various colors. Which ready made frames you will select depends largely on your personal inclinations; however, there are a few guidelines.

For example, consider the subject of the photo and the nature of it; is it color or black and white? If the former, what colors predominate? Is it a portrait? What about other picture framing supplies you have incorporated into the project, such as mat board? Is the framing matting material a particular color? Where will the photograph be displayed? As you can see, there are many issues to consider in the choice of ready made frames. Your Image Deserves The Best Whichever ready made picture frame you ultimately decide on, remember that the photo is the star of the show. You want to avoid anything that will take attention away from the photo itself. Remember that whether its a custom frame or a ready made picture frame, your photographic image deserves the best possible setting.

Expose Your Children to Their Own Creativity With Properly Selected Art Easels

Allowing and encouraging your children to express themselves through art, is an important part of childhood development. They learn creativity, and explore new ways to express themselves. Providing them with an art table or a right easel for their age can inspire them to indulge in an activity that may be a bit unfamiliar at first, but it will expand their cognitive ability, preparing them better for school and later life.

A proper easel or comfortable art table will encourage your child to use art more frequently than if they didn’t have a special area dedicated to it. Through art experimentation, your child can develop his or her creativity. Creativity can come in handy later in life in an artistic capacity, or if your child needs to find creative solutions to problems they are facing. Art can help your child express themselves as they try to figure out who they are and what they are capable of.

Adjustable wooden easels for children are available in many different designs. You can find them in different sizes and configurations. Look around online to see what you have to choose from. You can find wooden easels with two sides, three sides or four sides so more than one child can create art at the same time. Frequently these multiple-sided easels will offer different surfaces your child can work with… one for drawing or painting, one may be a chalkboard, and yet another may be a white board. To be easily accessible for your child, choose an easel that is suited to his or her height. It is uncomfortable for a smaller child to have to reach up, and similarly, it isn’t fun for a taller child to have to bend down to create. Some of these easels may be height adjustable, so you can set it up for a smaller child, and it will grow as they grow.

Art tables and easels also come with attached art centers. If you wish, you can choose one of these versions, which come with many shelves to hold all the Art Supplies beneath the work surface. These art tables can be set up with modeling clay, paint, markers, crayons, scissors, tape, glue and other age-appropriate supplies. Some art tables are like a bench with an upright end to support your child’s pad of paper. This style is called an art horse. The child can sit straddling the bench while they draw.

Wooden art easels for children have a pleasing appearance, built to last and have life-time warranty. They can be passed down between siblings or to friends or other family members when your child has outgrown it. Tabletop models are also available, which make it easy to take the easel anywhere. They can also be used for a longer period of time, since the child can use it while sitting at a table.

Once you’ve gotten your child’s art table set up, you’ll see his or her creativity at work. They’ll develop better fine and gross motor skills by manipulating the tools of creativity. You’ll find that producing their own art will give them good self-esteem, and it will help them to better understand their world around them. Exposing children to their own creativity will open a whole new world for them.

How to Use a Spray Paint

Art with spray paint is an new urban art form that utilizes spray paint as its medium. It is an art form that often depicts science fiction scenes or fantasy environments; the art relies highly on random effects produced by the spray paints. It is similar to graffiti in the fact that it incorporates the use of aerosol paints, but it also differs in the fact that the art is painted on more traditional art surfaces like poster board rather than walls or trains. Also it is often painted for commercial purposes.
Usually a glossy white poster board is used as a painting surface, though; almost any flat surface can be used. The artist will usually perform in a well ventilated area but will still also suit up with a gas mask and a pair of gloves to minimize exposure to the harmful vapors and irritants (For a list of materials click here: spray paint art). Layers of paint are sprayed down unto the poster board surface, usually in order of lightest color to darkest. The artist will then take a magazine page and place it unto the fresh paint. After a second or two the artist will remove the magazine to create a random texture.
Afterwards they will usually lay down any predefined stencils; the stencils can be anything from intricate cutouts to ice cream lids that are used to make planets (To see examples, visit awholenotherstudio.com). After desired stencils have been laid the artist will then proceed to add the next layers which will be seen as the back ground. After a background has been laid the artist will go on to create the bulk of the picture consisting of anything from a mountain range and a forest to a futuristic city.
Art with spray paint is usually performed quickly in front of a large crowd in busy metropolis areas. A full sized painting can usually be made in 15 minutes and then sold to bystanders at a price usually around 20 dollars. On busy days an artist could earn anywhere from 200 to 1000 dollars, which massively outweighs the cost of paint supplies (40 -50 dollars). Overall, this art is relatively simple and is even often considered low art because of its lack of detail.
